The Sydney Businessmen Association (SIAD) Incorporated was formed by a group of local Sydney Businessmen in May 2006. SIAD was registered and incorporated by the NSW Dept of Fair Trading in Sept 2006.
The acronym SIAD is Sydney Isadamlari Dernegi, is the Turkish translation of Sydney Businessmen Association.
SIAD was formed by a group of 13 Turkish/Australian businessmen from Sydney.
Our main aims are to:
- To foster goodwill and working relationships with businessmen in Sydney and the rest of the world.
- Support and enhance the welfare of both the Australian business environment and the SIAD members by providing assistance on commercial, economic and technological issues.
- Act as a liaison in establishing and strengthening commercial, economic and social ties between individuals and institutions.
- Assist in identifying business and financial issues of our members and proposing solutions.
- Provide consultancy services to domestic and international businessmen to promote investments and foreign trade activities.
- Organise meetings, seminars, panels, conferences, trips, expositions and similar activities, to connect SIAD members with business, economic, technological and legal developments around the world.
- Carry out domestic and international research activities on business, technological, economical and social issues.
- Participate in activities organised by other parties including courses, seminars, symposiums, conferences, exhibitions and expositions.
